The Creston Valley Hospital, managed by Interior Health Authority is the local full-service hospital. It has 20 beds including 24 hour Emergency, a hemodialysis clinic, an intensive care room, pediatric room and maternity wing. The hospital also offers a full service lab, x-ray and ultrasound services. Full public health services, home care nursing, community programs, as well as adult and child mental health services are located at the hospital. Specialist physicians visit CVH site for local referrals and follow up on a rotational basis.
Emergency Department call is mandatory for local doctors (approximately 1 in 11), with obstetrics, surgery and anesthesia GP specialties available. Physicians in Creston practice in a variety of settings. These included solo practice, small group practice as well as a Family Practice Clinic. Two of the Clinics are teaching facilities within the UBC residency program.

I spent a few weeks in your lovely town this past September, providing relief for two of your family doctors, Dr. Atma and Dr. Karen Persad. The professional and dedicated staff at Family Practice Associates drew me to your community - and their team certainly made my work at the clinic very smooth! Their excellent reputation is well deserved!
But was really unexpected, and what prompted me to write to you today, was the warm welcome from the community at large.
The Town of Creston greeted me with a lovely personalized welcome package which helped my partner and I become oriented with the area. We explored many local haunts, sampled the bountiful Fall harvest at your farm stands and market, and discovered businesses and activities we learned about in the package. It seemed each person we met was curious about us and made great suggestions about the area, based on our interests.
This was especially true for my partner, Greg Bradley, a landscape and nature photographer (www.legendarylightphotography.com) who captured the natural beauty of the area in his recent works.
Everywhere we went, we met friendly, welcoming, and kind Creston residents. We were with you for only a short time, but the warm welcome we received from the town and from each of you was memorable.
